Ingredients
Scale
- 4 boneless pork chops ¾-1 inch thick
- 1 medium onion sliced into thick rings
- 1 packet ranch seasoning or 3 tablespoons homemade ranch seasoning
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 garlic clove finely minced
- ½ teaspoon dried parsley
- ½ teaspoon dried chives
Instructions
- In a small bowl, combine softened butter with garlic, parsley, and chives, and refrigerate until later.
- Layer onion slices at the bottom of the slow cooker.
- Place pork chops on top of the onion slices.
- Sprinkle ranch seasoning and salt evenly over the pork chops.
- Pour the chicken broth around the edges of the slow cooker, avoiding direct contact with the pork.
- Cover the slow cooker and cook on low for 5-6 hours or on high for 2-3 hours.
- In the last 5-10 minutes, apply ranch herb butter to the tops of the pork chops for a silky jus.
- Mix the onions into the jus and serve over the pork chops.
Notes
For added flavor, use homemade ranch seasoning if possible.
Ensure not to pour broth directly over pork to keep the seasoning intact.
Serve with vegetables or mashed potatoes for a complete meal.
