- 4 cups fresh peach slices peeled
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- pinch of salt
- 6 tbsp unsalted butter melted
- 1 cup all purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 3/4 cup milk
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 2 tsp cinnamon
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F and spray a 9×13 baking dish with nonstick spray.
- In a medium saucepan, combine peach slices, 1/2 cup granulated sugar, 1/4 cup brown sugar, and a pinch of salt. Cook over medium heat for 3-4 minutes until the sugars melt and the mixture is warm.
- Pour the melted butter into the bottom of the prepared baking dish without stirring.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, 1 cup granulated sugar, baking powder, 1/4 tsp salt, and milk until smooth. Pour the mixture into the pan over the melted butter without stirring.
- Evenly space the peaches over the batter, adding some of the juice, then sprinkle with 2 tbsp brown sugar and 2 tsp cinnamon.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 38-42 minutes, or until the top is golden and the edges are bubbling.
- Allow to cool slightly before serving warm with vanilla ice cream.
Notes
Ensure peaches are ripe for the best flavor.
Serve with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream for an extra treat.
This cobbler can be made with frozen peaches in a pinch.
