- 1 1/4 sticks unsalted butter (1/2 cup + 2 tbsp)
- 1/2 cup white chocolate chips
- 2 tbsp matcha powder
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 3 tsp pure vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp kosher salt
- 3 large eggs
- 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8×8-inch baking dish with parchment paper.
- Melt the unsalted butter and white chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl until smooth. Stir in the matcha powder until well combined and let it cool slightly.
- In a large mixing bowl, mix together granulated sugar, brown sugar, and kosher salt.
- Incorporate the eggs and vanilla extract, then mix until fully combined.
- Gently fold in the flour until no streaks remain.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish.
- Drizzle the slightly cooled matcha ganache evenly over the top.
- Bake for 30 minutes, or until the edges are set and a toothpick inserted comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- Allow to cool completely before cutting into squares.
Notes
These brownies are best enjoyed fresh but can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
Feel free to adjust the sweetness by adding more or less sugar based on your preference.
For a richer flavor, top the brownies with a dusting of extra matcha powder before serving.
