Ingredients
- 2½ pounds boneless skinless chicken thighs
- 2 teaspoons herb and garlic seasoning
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- ¼ cup chicken broth
- ¾ cup thick bbq sauce
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
Instructions
- Place chicken thighs in the slow cooker in a single layer.
- Sprinkle the herb and garlic seasoning, salt, and black pepper evenly over the chicken thighs.
- Pour chicken broth around the edges of the slow cooker, avoiding direct contact with the seasoning.
- Cover the slow cooker and cook on low for 4-5 hours or on high for 2½-3 hours until the chicken is tender and fully cooked.
- About 30 minutes before serving, remove any excess liquid if necessary, then pour BBQ sauce over the chicken and add apple cider vinegar.
- Cover and continue cooking until the sauce is heated and well coats the chicken.
- Serve the chicken whole or shred it lightly and drizzle with extra sauce if desired.
Notes
Feel free to adjust the amount of BBQ sauce according to your taste.
Serve with your favorite side dishes like coleslaw or cornbread for a complete meal.
Make sure to check the chicken’s internal temperature for doneness.
