Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 cups popcorn, popped
  • 3 cups bugles
  • 3 cups pretzels
  • 1 cup dry roasted peanuts
  • 1 cup m&m's, fall or halloween colors
  • 1 cup candy corn
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1/2 cup corn syrup
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 325°F (165°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the popcorn, Bugles, pretzels, and peanuts. Set aside.
  3. For the syrup, in a medium saucepan, mix together sugar, corn syrup, water, butter, baking soda, cinnamon, and ginger. Heat over medium until it reaches a rapid boil and cooks to 235°F (113°C).
  4. Remove from heat, stir in vanilla, and pour over the popcorn mixture, gently mixing to coat.
  5. Spread the mixture on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or sprayed with nonstick spray.
  6. Bake for 20 minutes, stirring every 7-8 minutes.
  7. Let cool completely at room temperature. Once cooled, break into smaller pieces and mix in the M&M's and candy corn.
  8. Serve in a large bowl or individual cups and store in an airtight container for 3-5 days.

Notes

Allow the mixture to cool completely before breaking it apart to avoid sticking.
