This Caramel Dip For Apples features an irresistible flavor made from butter, sugar, and sweetened condensed milk. Perfect for entertaining or a tasty treat!

  • Total Time: 25 minutes
  • Yield: 24 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup light brown sugar
  • 1 cup karo syrup
  • 1 14-ounce can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. In a heavy-bottomed sauce pot over medium heat, combine the butter, sugar, brown sugar, Karo syrup, sweetened condensed milk, and salt.
  2. Stir with a flat-bottomed wooden spoon or rubber spatula, scraping the bottom of the pot until all sugar is dissolved and the butter is melted.
  3. Increase heat to high and continuously stir until the mixture reaches 225 degrees F on a candy thermometer.
  4. Once it hits 225 degrees, remove from heat to stop the cooking process. Allow cooling for at least 20 minutes before serving.
  5. Pour the cooled caramel into a serving dish and warm up with sliced apples. Enjoy!

Notes

Store any leftover caramel dip in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week.
If the dip becomes too thick after cooling, gently reheat it on low heat, adding a little water to loosen it up.
Feel free to serve with other fruits or snacks instead of just apples.
