Ingredients
Scale
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
- 16.3 ounce can flaky biscuits
- 1 cup apple cider
Instructions
- Line a tray with parchment paper or set out a wire rack for the finished donuts.
- In a shallow bowl, whisk together the sugar and cinnamon; set aside.
- Simmer the apple cider in a small saucepan over medium-high heat to reduce slightly, then set aside.
- Separate the biscuits and use a small round object to punch out the centers, creating donut shapes.
- Prepare the air fryer basket with a parchment round or a light spray of oil.
- In batches, add four donuts to the air fryer in a single layer. Avoid overcrowding them.
- Air fry at 350°F for 3 minutes, flip, and fry for another 3 minutes.
- Transfer hot donuts to the tray or rack and repeat with the remaining dough.
- While warm, brush both sides of each donut with the reduced apple cider and toss in the cinnamon-sugar mixture to coat well.
- Serve immediately and enjoy!
Notes
Make sure to allow the apple cider to reduce for maximum flavor.
If you don’t have a small round object to punch holes in the biscuits, a knife can be used to create the donut shape.
These donuts are best enjoyed right after frying when they are warm.
