Ingredients
- 4-pound whole chicken
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose seasoning
- 1 cup water
Instructions
- Rub the seasoning all over the chicken, including under the skin if you prefer.
- Pour 1 cup of water into the Instant Pot.
- Place a trivet in the Instant Pot and set the seasoned chicken on top.
- Seal the lid and set to high pressure for 25 minutes.
- Allow for natural pressure release and check that the chicken has reached an internal temperature of 165 ℉.
- Carefully remove the chicken from the pot and let it cool before shredding.
Notes
For additional flavor, marinate the chicken overnight with seasoning before cooking.
Ensure the chicken is fully thawed for even cooking.
Feel free to add vegetables to the Instant Pot for a complete meal.
