- 1 pound boneless skinless chicken breasts
- 1 tablespoon garlic and herb seasoning
- 10 oz frozen cut green beans
- 8 oz carrots (peeled and sliced ½ inch thick)
- 1 box (6oz chicken-flavored stuffing mix)
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 1 1/2 cups chicken broth
- ½ cup heavy cream
- 1 tablespoon powdered chicken bouillon (or one cube)
- ½ teaspoons salt
Instructions
- Add chicken to slow cooker and sprinkle with seasoning blend evenly.
- Top with green beans and carrots (or vegetables of choice).
- Spread the contents of the stuffing box evenly over the chicken.
- Melt butter in a small glass bowl in the microwave and let it cool slightly.
- Whisk flour into the melted butter until smooth.
- Whisk in the chicken broth, heavy cream, bouillon, and salt until well combined.
- Pour the mixture over the ingredients in the slow cooker.
- Cover and cook on high for 2-3 hours or low for 4-6 hours until the chicken is cooked through.
- If desired, leave the cover off the slow cooker for the last 30 minutes to crisp up the stuffing.
Notes
You can substitute the chicken breasts with thighs for a richer flavor.
Feel free to add your favorite vegetables for extra nutrition.
For added flavor, use homemade chicken broth if available.
