Ingredients
Scale
- 15.25 oz. devil's food cake mix
- 1 cup water
- 1/2 cup salted butter (melted)
- 3 large eggs
- 8 oz. pkg. mini Reese's peanut butter cups
- 1 cup creamy peanut butter
- 3 Tbsp. powdered sugar
- 10 bite size Reese's peanut butter cups
- non-stick spray
Instructions
- In a large bowl, mix together the cake mix, water, melted butter, and eggs until smooth, allowing some lumps to remain.
- Spray the slow cooker with non-stick spray and add the batter, spreading it out evenly.
- Cover and cook on HIGH for 2 hours without lifting the lid.
- Once cooked, remove the cake from the heat to prevent further cooking.
- In a small pan over medium heat, melt the peanut butter until smooth, stirring closely to avoid burning. Add the powdered sugar and whisk until well combined.
- Pour the sweetened peanut butter over the warm cake and top with halved Reese's peanut butter cups.
- Serve warm and enjoy, optionally topped with ice cream or whipped cream.
Notes
For extra richness, consider adding chocolate chips to the batter.
Make sure to avoid opening the slow cooker lid during cooking to ensure proper baking.
